So this post is way overdue, but last week was the first round of Burnhearts vs. Comet Cafe beer school! It was a blast, and Burnhearts won! The lineup: 1. Wild Yeast  Comet- Stillwater Oak Aged Cellar Door Burnhearts- Upland Dantalion Wild 2. Porter Comet- Troegs Dead Reckoning Burnhearts- Deschutes Black Butte 3. Belgian Style Comet- Nebraska Melange A Trois Burnhearts- Olvadle Farms The Auroch’s Horn 4. IPA Comet- Firestone Walker Double Jack Burnhearts- Minneapolis Town Hall Masala Mama 5. Barleywine Comet- Mikkeller Bad Worse bourbon edition Burnhearts- Central Waters 2009 Y2K Catastrophe I helped pour all night. A whole lot of beer was consumed before, during, and after the event, and BJ gave me a Town Hall growler! Round 2 of beer school and gnarly hangover coming up on the 15th.

What I know of the lineup is just ridiculous.Burnhearts for the win!  also, it’s really crazy to me that last year I always wanted to go to Comet’s beer school, and now I’ve found myself behind the scenes.
